From April 11 to 13, Valencia pays tribute to one of its most beloved figures. The schedule is generous and, best of all, almost entirely free.
Fireworks at the Torres de Serranos (Saturday 11)
If you haven't seen a proper Valencian fireworks display yet, Saturday night is your moment. Pirotècnia Nadal fires a spectacular show at the Plaça de la Crida, next to the Torres de Serranos — one of the most impressive spots in the old town.

If you've never been to a mascletá, here's the advice every local will give you: don't go to see it — go to feel it. It's noise, vibration, and gunpowder in its purest form. The full Monday schedule includes mass at 10:00, floral offering at 12:00, mascletá at 14:00, and procession at 19:00.
